Police appeal for witnesses following a lorry and motorcycle collision on A55 near Holywell

The A55 between was closed  for over an hour and a half on Saturday afternoon following an accident involving a lorry and a motorcycle.

The accident happened between J32, Holywell and J31, Caerwys, at Brynford.

It is a female with ‘life threatening’ injuries was flown by air ambulance to University of North Staffordshire Hospital while a male was taken by ambulance to Ysbyty Glan Clwyd.

The A55 was closed in both directions as emergency services dealt with the accident.

Police are appealing for any witnesses to the accident.
