Police appeal for witnesses following a lorry and motorcycle collision on A55 near Holywell

The A55 between was closed  for over an hour and a half on Saturday afternoon following an accident involving a lorry and a motorcycle. ‌​‌‌‌​‌‌‍‌​‌‌‌​‌​‍‌​‌‌‌​‌​

The accident happened between J32, Holywell and J31, Caerwys, at Brynford. ‌​‌‌‌​‌‌‍‌​‌‌‌​‌​‍‌​‌‌‌​‌​

It is a female with ‘life threatening’ injuries was flown by air ambulance to University of North Staffordshire Hospital while a male was taken by ambulance to Ysbyty Glan Clwyd. ‌​‌‌‌​‌‌‍‌​‌‌‌​‌​‍‌​‌‌‌​‌​

The A55 was closed in both directions as emergency services dealt with the accident. ‌​‌‌‌​‌‌‍‌​‌‌‌​‌​‍‌​‌‌‌​‌​

Police are appealing for any witnesses to the accident.  ‌​‌‌‌​‌‌‍‌​‌‌‌​‌​‍‌​‌‌‌​‌​
