Police say they are investigating a serious incident in Rhyl which happened just after 7.30pm on Thursday evening.

Officers are asking for anyone who was near Home Bargains on Marsh Road, Rhyl between 7pm and 8pm to contactthem on 101.

The police update doesn’t allude to the nature of the incident however, unconfirmed reports circulating on social media say there had been a ‘stabbing’ on or near the car park of the store in Marsh Road store.

Reports also talk of a heavy police presence with the area taped off, a police helicopter was spotted in the area around the time of the incident, another unconfirmed report says armed police had sealed off the car park.
