Police appeal following suspected arson incident in Flintshire
Police have launched an appeal for witnesses and information in connection with a suspected arson incident that occurred in Flintshire on Tuesday.
The fire broke out shortly after 10pm at a property in the Bryn Barug area of Pontblyddyn.
Police, alongside the North Wales Fire and Rescue Service, were dispatched to the scene following reports of the blaze. South Flintshire Police say it is being investigated as a deliberate act.
Detective Inspector Dean Jones has called on anyone who was in the vicinity of the A541 in Pontblyddyn around the time of the incident who may have dashcam footage.
DI Jones said: “We are asking anyone who was driving along the A541 in Pontblyddyn shortly before or after 10pm on January 30th and saw anyone in the area, or might have dashcam footage, to get in touch with us as soon as possible.”
Furthermore, the appeal extends to residents in Bryn Barug at the time of the fire, particularly those with CCTV systems that could have captured relevant images or activities.
South Flintshire Police are urging anyone with information, no matter how insignificant, to contact officers on 101 or through the official police website, citing reference number 24000132.
