Police appeal after assault at youth football match in Wrexham involving Deeside team

Police are appealing for information following an incident at a youth football match in Wrexham.

The incident occurred during a game between Caia Park boys and Deeside Dragons under-16s on a field off Whitegate Road on Saturday, 26 October.

A man and two players on the Caia Park team were allegedly assaulted by another man during the match.

The suspect is believed to have been attending the game with one of the players from the Deeside Dragons team.

PC Connor Davies, leading the investigation, said: “I am asking anyone who witnessed these incidents, or anyone who might have video footage or images of the incidents, to contact us.”

Those with information are urged to call police on 101, or contact them via the North Wales Police website, quoting reference number 24000916318.
