Pensioner dies following a house fire in Mancot

A pensioner has died following a house fire in Mancot.

The 80-year-old woman was rescued by firefighters from her home on Friday evening.

Crews from Deeside and Buckley were called to the property at Prince William Gardens at 8.46pm on Friday the 15th November.

The woman was transferred to hospital by ambulance suffering from burns but sadly died in hospital.

The cause of the fire is under investigation.
