Over half of all eligible adults in Wales have now had their first dose of coronavirus vaccine
Over 50 per cent of all eligible adults in Wales have now had their first dose of the coronavirus vaccine.
Updated figures published today show that as of 10pm on Sunday night, 1,273,186 people in Wales have now had their first dose of the vaccine.
Figures also show that 346,058 people have had a second dose and are now fully vaccinated.
During today’s Welsh Government press conference on Monday, Vaughan Gething said, “I’m very pleased to be able to tell you that over 50 per cent of the adult population in Wales have now had their first dose of the vaccine.”
“And this really is remarkable progress in less than four months since the start of the vaccination program here in Wales, and almost 350,000 People have completed the full two dose course.”
In North Wales the total number of vaccine doses administered as of March 21 now stands at 369,777 (first and second doses combined).
Flintshire has seen the most number of doses administered across the North Wales health board area at 70,978.

Older adult, care home residents: 7,420
Care home workers: 18,183
Those aged 80 year of age and over: 44,407
Health care workers: 44,397
Social care workers: 16,150
All those 75 years of age and over: 40,29
All those 70 years of age and over: 57,520
High risk adults under 70 years of age: 18,347
All those 65 years of age and over: 35,487
All North Wales residents under the age of 65 not included in the priority groups shown above. 87,570.
