Police have issued a warning to residents following a series of reports about a suspicious male in the Sychdyn area.

Officers from South Flintshire say they are aware of the reports and are actively investigating.

However, they have urged the public not to circulate names or photographs of individuals on social media, warning that doing so could:

-Jeopardise future prosecutions

-Lead to the unjust targeting of innocent people and their families

The statement specifically addresses concern around an individual named Steffan Dobandi, whose name has reportedly been shared online in connection with the reports.

Police said:

“We understand the concerns around the individual ‘Steffan Dobandi’ who is currently being circulated, but this male is currently residing at His Majesty’s pleasure.”

Officers added that anyone with relevant information should contact police directly, either through the local policing team or via the North Wales Police control room.

Residents are reminded to report non-emergencies via 101 or the NWP website, and to call 999 in an emergency.
