Off-road bike rider sought after collision with police officer in Connah’s Quay

Police are appealing for witnesses after a black off-road bike collided with a police officer in Connah’s Quay on Saturday evening.
Officers attended Richmond Road shortly after 8pm on Saturday 16 May, following multiple reports of off-road bikes and anti-social riding in the area.
North Wales Police said one of the bikes failed to stop for officers, collided with a police officer, and was then ridden dangerously at speed along the coastal path in an apparent attempt to evade officers.
PC Hatton said: “We understand the concern that anti-social riding causes within the community.”
He said: “This type of behaviour will not be tolerated, and we will take robust action against those responsible.”
PC Hatton said: “I am appealing for anyone who witnessed the incident, or who may have CCTV, dashcam or mobile phone footage to contact us quoting 26000388977.”
He said: “As we move into the summer months, we would encourage members of the public to continue reporting any incidents of anti-social riding, as this information helps us take action and keep our communities safe.”
Anyone with information can contact North Wales Police on 101 or via the force’s website, quoting reference 26000388977.
