A revolutionary cinematic experience “which stimulates all five senses” will open at Cineworld Broughton this month.

The new 4DX screen – which is exclusive to Cineworld will open at the Broughton cinema on November 29th

4DX offers cinema goers the opportunity to experience the latest movies from high-tech motion seats, engineered to work in perfect synchronicity with the action on screen.

They will be surrounded by special effects such as wind, fog, lightning, snow, bubbles, water and scents.

Available in both 2D and 3D formats, 4DX is considered to be one of the biggest innovations in cinematic technology.

The new 4DX auditorium will house 140 specially designed seats, plus a curved screen bigger than a double decker bus.

Michelle McClean, Cineworld Broughton General Manager, said: “We’re thrilled to introduce cinema goers to our new 4DX auditorium.

There’s nothing like it and it can only be experienced at Cineworld, in the UK.

We’re opening the screen with a fantastic line-up of movies including Charlie’s Angels, Jumanji: The Next Level and Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker which are perfect for 4DX.

We can’t wait to see customers’ reactions when they try out the innovative, immersive experience!”

JongRyul Kim, CEO of CJ 4DPLEX, said: “We are delighted to be bringing 4DX to Broughton as the popularity of our immersive cinema experiences continues to grow.

4DX extreme cinema places audiences in the action through state-of-the-art sensory technology, allowing customers to experience film on a new and exciting level.

We are pleased to be working with a great partner like Cineworld, as they truly believe in advancing cinema.”
