Mold Town Council seeks new members as three councillors step down

Mold Town Council has issued a call for residents to step forward and consider serving as councillors, following the retirement of three long-standing members.

The vacancies have arisen after Bryan Grew, Tim Maunders, and Haydn Bateman announced their decision to step back from their roles.

Collectively, the trio dedicated many years to public service, contributing significantly to the town’s development and wellbeing.

 

Jo Lane, Town Clerk for Mold, praised the contributions of the departing councillors, saying, “All three will be greatly missed. Between them, they had a wealth of experience and knowledge and were well respected within our community. Throughout their time with Mold Town Council, they demonstrated exceptional commitment, passion, and leadership in their efforts to support the community of Mold. Their tireless work has positively impacted countless residents.”

Mayor of Mold, Cllr. Brian Lloyd, expressed gratitude on behalf of the council and the wider community. “We extend our heartfelt thanks to Bryan, Tim, and Haydn for their many years of hard work, their unwavering support of the council’s initiatives, and their enduring dedication to improving the lives of Mold’s residents,” he said. “Their service has been invaluable, and we wish them all the best for their future endeavours.”

The council is now seeking to fill the three vacancies left by the retiring councillors, urging residents with a passion for community service to consider applying. Mold Town Council emphasised its continued dedication to representing and supporting residents with the same level of commitment demonstrated by the departing members.
