Met Office yellow weather alert for Ice and Snow covering Flintshire
Brace yourself, Flintshire could see some snow showers over the next day or so.
The Met Office has issued a yellow weather alert for Ice and Snow covering most of northern Wales including Flintshire, Wrexham as well as the North West of England.
Snow showers could become frequent on Monday, continuing to feed in on northwesterly winds overnight.
The yellow alert is in place for 24 hours from 12pm today.
According to the Met Office, accumulations of snow of a couple of centimetres are possible at low levels, with higher ground expected to see 5-10 cm in places.
In addition, icy stretches are likely to form following showers.
The Met Office is urging people to take extra care when travelling.
Motorists are advised to slow down and allow extra time for their journey, as well as to keep a safe distance from the vehicle in front. Pedestrians should be careful when walking on icy surfaces and take care when crossing roads.
The snowfall is expected to cause disruptions to travel, with delays on the roads and public transportation likely. People are advised to check the latest weather forecast and travel updates before setting out.
