Mancot man jailed for life for raping three children

A man from Mancot has been jailed for life for raping three children and sexually abusing a fourth.
Daniel Bremner, 35, was sentenced at Mold Crown Court on Friday 1 May after pleading guilty to 35 offences.
He must serve a minimum of 15 years before he can apply for parole.
Bremner filmed himself committing some of the offences, North Wales Police said.
The investigation began when one of the children disclosed the abuse at school.
Officers examined his electronic devices and found 218 Category A indecent images of children, the most serious classification, along with 182 Category B images and 1,784 Category C images that he had downloaded.
He had also produced 18 Category A images, two Category B images and 57 Category C images himself.
Bremner admitted 14 counts of rape, eight counts of assault by penetration, four counts of causing or inciting a child to engage in sexual activity, three counts of making indecent photographs of a child, three counts of taking indecent photographs of a child, two counts of assault by touching and one count of attempted assault by penetration.
DC Meinir Jones of North Wales Police’s Protecting Vulnerable People Unit said: “Daniel Bremner is a dangerous sex offender who preyed upon his victims over a sustained period, even filming himself committing his depraved acts.
“I welcome today’s life sentence which means that his release is not automatic.
“He will remain on licence for the rest of his life and if he is ever freed, he can be recalled to prison at any time.
“I would like to praise the bravery of his victims in coming forward.
“I hope the resulting sentence will be of some small comfort.
“Finally, to anyone who has been the subject of this or similar abuse, please know that you can speak to us at any time.
“You will be heard and we will do everything we can to bring any offender to justice.”
