Locals urged to report suspicious activity after suspected drug dealing behind Asda
Local residents are being urged to stay vigilant and report any suspicious activity as police note an increase in suspicious behaviour around the Dee View area.
The activities have been particularly noted near the Queensferry Learning Campus (Plas Derwen school) and the area to the rear of the ASDA superstore over the past week.
Police said people have been observed exchanging money and packages, leading to heightened concerns about potential drug dealing activities taking place within the vicinity.
PSCO Aled Hughes from North Flintshire police team said: “Please be aware that there has been a number of suspicious activities taking place on Dee View, Shotton during the past week near the entrance to Plas Derwen school and the area to the rear of the ASDA superstore. People have been seen to exchange money and packages.”
Like most crime, police depend heavily on ‘community intelligence’ to catch drug dealers.
PSCO Hughes added: “If you see anything suspicious, please contact the 101 helpline or the 999 helpline if it is an emergency.”
Alternatively you contact Crimestoppers anonymously – 0800 555 111
