Latest update from Flintshire Council on services during the snow and icy weather

Flintshire Council has issued an update on its services this morning, Friday, March 10, following heavy snow overnight.
Heavy snowfall in Flintshire has caused treacherous driving conditions this morning, leading to road closures and travel disruptions.
The Met Office issued an amber warning for snow, which has now ended, however, further yellow alerts for snow and ice remain in place until 10am on Saturday.
Flintshire Council said: “As forecasted, heavy snowfall overnight has caused significant disruption into Friday morning.”
“Snow accumulations will be quite variable across the county, but in places enough to close roads where drifting has occurred and may make access to some communities difficult or impossible, perhaps enough to bring down some trees and branches and perhaps affect utility lines too.”
“Any freezing rain will give treacherous conditions underfoot – even if snow amounts are low.”
