Holywell Manor development to hold ‘Help to Buy Wales’ weekend

News and Info from Deeside, Flintshire, North Wales

A developer is set to host an open weekend from 7th to 9th April for potential buyers looking to take advantage of the newly extended Help to Buy Wales scheme at its new Holywell Manor development. ‌‌‌‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‌‌

With sweeping views across the River Dee estuary, the renovated former manor house has been converted into a collection of one and two-bedroom apartments starting from £175,000. ‌‌‌‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‌‌

Additionally, on the site, a selection of newly built three and four-bedroom family homes are available, which cost between £225,000 and £255,000. ‌‌‌‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‌‌

All new homes at Holywell Manor fall under the increased threshold of £300,000 under the extended Help to Buy Wales scheme. ‌‌‌‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‌‌

Originally built in the early 1900s, the main manor house has been converted to maintain its original character and facade, giving the apartments particularly high ceiling heights. ‌‌‌‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‌‌

Views from the open plan kitchen and living spaces on all floors stretch for miles. ‌‌‌‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‌‌

Meanwhile, the 15 newly built houses all benefit from coastal views, with living spaces spread across three floors. ‌‌‌‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‌‌

The Help to Buy Wales scheme has been extended, providing first-time buyers across Wales with the opportunity to purchase a home with a deposit of just 5%. ‌‌‌‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‌‌

The scheme is aimed at helping those struggling to get on the property ladder due to the high deposit requirements in today’s market. ‌‌‌‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‌‌

Elli Peak, Sales and Marketing Director at HJK Properties, said: “This scheme brings together the charm of a historic building, with the luxuries of a modern home.” ‌‌‌‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‌‌

“We have put a lot of care into making sure the character of the old building remains so that home owners at Holywell Manor can benefit from the attractiveness of it whether in one of the apartments housed inside or the homes looking at it.” ‌‌‌‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‌‌

Peak added: “The Help to Buy scheme made a real difference to first-time buyers across the UK. The extension of the scheme in Wales and the uplift in value will make many areas of Wales appealing to buyers on both sides of the border.” ‌‌‌‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‌‌

The Help to Buy Wales open weekend will take place from 07-09 April 2023 at Holywell Manor, Old Chester Road, Holywell, CH8 7SG. ‌‌‌‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‌‌
