Four-vehicle collision closes Chester Road in Sandycroft

A four-vehicle collision has resulted in the closure of Chester Road in Sandycroft.

The collsion, which occurred shortly before 8:40 am today, involved a heavy goods vehicle (HGV), a minibus, a car, and a van.

North Wales Police, the North Wales Fire and Rescue Service, the Welsh Ambulance Service, and two air ambulances are in attendance.

Police have confirmed that Chester Road remains closed between the turnings for Rake Lane and Station Road, Sandycroft, and it is expected to stay shut for several hours.

A spokesperson for North Wales Police said:

“Shortly before 8.40 am this morning, we were called to a report of a four-vehicle road traffic collision on Chester Road, Hawarden, involving a HGV, a minibus, a car, and a van. Police are in attendance, along with colleagues from the North Wales Fire and Rescue Service, the Welsh Ambulance Service, and the air ambulance.”

They added, “Please continue to avoid the area for the time being.”
