Flintshire village joins Openreach’s Full Fibre broadband network
A Flintshire village is poised to step into the superfast digital age, joining over 2,800 UK communities now connected to Openreach’s Full Fibre broadband network.
This substantial upgrade is being heralded as a once-in-a-generation improvement for the residents of Pantymwyn.
It offers not just high-speed connectivity but promises the bandwidth to manage an influx of devices and the ever-increasing demand for data.
The benefits don’t stop at speed, with Full Fibre broadband also touting a more reliable and resilient connection, fewer faults, and consistent, predictable speeds.
Martin Williams, the Openreach Partnership Director for Wales, emphasized the company’s commitment to the region and the nation. “Nobody in Wales and the rest of the UK is building full fibre faster, further or at a higher quality than Openreach,” he said. Williams added that Openreach is dedicated to serving more communities than ever and that their engineers, alongside build partners, are striving to deliver top-notch broadband services.
Local people can visit the Openreach website for updates and, as the build progresses, check their addresses to see when services are available from their chosen provider. This announcement isn’t an isolated endeavour.
Openreach recently passed more than 11.5 million premises across the UK, including around 3.7m million in the hardest to serve ‘final third’ of the country.
