Residents in Flintshire are being urged to remain vigilant following reports of a door-to-door seller who is also asking for donations.

Police say they have received numerous reports about an individual over the past few days and are actively conducting additional patrols in the south of the county area to try and identify him.

The young male is described as having fair hair and is often seen wearing a camouflage jacket.

Police request anyone who had a visit or saw him near their property to check CCTV footage or any connected vehicle.

“Residents are urged to remain vigilant and not to engage with this individual,” said a spokesperson for North Wales Police. “If you see him, please contact us immediately on 101, quoting reference A008981.”

Officers are also reminding residents to take steps to protect their property from crime.

Residents are being encouraged to take a look at the latest crime prevention advice which can be found on the North Wales Police website – here
