Flintshire officers ‘reined in’ cute late-night escapee
A tiny pony found wandering loose near Alltami in the early hours of Tuesday morning has been safely returned to its field after being spotted by police officers on patrol.
PC Roberts and PC Parkinson from North Wales Police South Flintshire came across the pony while carrying out routine mobile patrols.
The officers managed to guide the animal away from the roadside with the help of a member of the public who stopped to assist.
PC Parkinson thanked the individual and other motorists who slowed down or stopped to offer help, ensuring the pony’s safe return to its enclosure.
North Wales Police South Flintshire shared an image (above) showing one of the officers walking alongside the diminutive pony, which was wearing a small rug for warmth.
