Flintshire Council extends garden waste collections by two weeks

Flintshire County Council has announced that the 2025 garden waste collection service will be extended by two weeks.
The decision follows operational disruptions experienced at the start of the season and the recent move to a three-weekly collection schedule.
The extension is intended to ensure that all subscribed properties receive one additional collection before the service ends.
The extra collections will take place after 28 November, within the period from Monday 1 December to Friday 12 December 2025.
Residents are advised to check their last scheduled collection date to determine when their additional pick-up will occur.
For example, if the final scheduled collection is on Monday 17 November, the extra collection will take place on Monday 1 December. If the last collection is on Friday 28 November, the additional round will be on Friday 12 December.
Flintshire County Council said: “Please ensure your brown bin is placed at the kerbside by 7:00am on your normal collection day, and that it contains only accepted garden waste materials.
Bins that are contaminated with other waste types may not be emptied.
“We apologise for any inconvenience caused by earlier service disruptions and thank you for your continued participation in our garden waste service.”
