Flintshire Citizens Advice search for new volunteers to help cope with increased demand
Flintshire Citizens Advice is appealing for new volunteers to help cope with increased demand amid the deepening cost of living crisis.
The charity is searching for local people who are interested in helping Flintshire residents deal with a range of issues.
Citizens Advice provides assistance with debt, benefits, energy, employment, discrimination, and more.
In 2021/22, the charity assisted over 6,169 people locally, 13.5 per cent of which were dealing with Personal Independence Payment (PIP) issues.
It also dealt with 31,909 advice issues, £4.1 million in debts and generated £5.4 million in income for local people.
Paul Bertrand, Citizens Advice Flintshire spokesperson said: “Volunteers play an extremely valuable role in the free and confidential service provided to clients, and in recognition, Citizens Advice Flintshire will offer full training and a friendly and supportive environment.”
“In addition to volunteer assessors, the organization is also searching for a volunteer database administrator, where accuracy is key.”
Initially, Citizens Advice Flintshire is looking for volunteers to work out of its Deeside office.
