Flint: Police hunt gang who assaulted staff member in shop robbery

Police have launched a hunt for a gang who robbed the ‘Cash 4 You’ store in Flint today.

The robbery took place this just before 11:50 this morning when three men entered the store on Chester Street.

Once inside they made demands for money and a member of staff was assaulted, sustaining minor injuries.

The front window of the store was also smashed during the incident.

DS Eleri Thomas said;

“The offenders are believed to have left empty-handed after they were disturbed. They are got into a black vehicle which headed towards Oakenholt.

“Our investigations are at an early stage and we are keen to trace anyone who was in the vicinity at the time, or who may have witnessed the incident or saw the offenders to contact detectives at Mold CID on 101.”

Police say officers remain in the vicinity making inquiries and Crime Scene Investigators are also in attendance.
