South Flintshire Police arrested a 31-year-old man last night in the Broughton area following a fail-to-stop road traffic collision (RTC).

The incident, which occurred after he had visited McDonald’s to get food, led officers to locate the vehicle and conduct a roadside breath test. The driver failed the test.

Further checks revealed the man was disqualified from driving and uninsured.

He was promptly arrested and taken into custody. He now faces charges of drink driving, disqualified driving, and driving without insurance.

In a social media post about the arrest, police stated: “Needless to say, he didn’t get to enjoy his McDonald’s and was off to McCustody instead.”

The man was remanded in custody overnight and appeared in court this morning.

The post added: “Court results will be published on Monday.”
