The Neuro Therapy Centre has launched an ambitious fundraising drive to kick off its 40th anniversary celebrations.

As part of the Big Give Christmas Challenge, donations made to the Saltney based centre’s dedicated webpage will be doubled, with the charity aiming to raise £20,000 by noon on Tuesday, 10th December.

The campaign began on Giving Tuesday, 3rd December, and has already secured £10,000 in match-funding from supporters and the Steve Morgan Foundation.

All contributions during this period will go towards supporting the centre’s physical and emotional therapies, which are vital for individuals living with neurological conditions and their carers across the region.

Jane Johnston-Cree, CEO of the Neuro Therapy Centre, expressed enthusiasm about the fundraiser:

“Next year we’ll be celebrating our fortieth anniversary and these funds will help us to grow our services for which there is a continued growing demand. We’ve recently opened new facilities at the centre, expanding our physiotherapy, gym, and exercise space. Next year, we will be redeveloping our original building to grow our social space and emotional health facilities.

“It is such an exciting time for the centre, and we really hope our community will get behind us to help raise these important funds, which make such a life-changing difference to people with neurological conditions and their families.”

To mark the occasion, the centre has organised a Pyjama Day on Thursday, 5th December. Businesses and community groups are encouraged to wear their pyjamas for the day and donate £2 per person, symbolising the warmth and friendliness of the centre’s care.

The Neuro Therapy Centre provides essential services for people managing a variety of neurological conditions, including MS, Parkinson’s Disease, ME, and Fibromyalgia. Its offerings include physiotherapy, exercise programmes, counselling, and support groups that foster connections and improve quality of life.

Donations can be made until noon on 10th December through the centre’s Big Give webpage at https://donate.biggive.org/campaign/a056900002TPTiOAAX, allowing every contribution to go twice as far in supporting this vital cause.
