Do something incredible in 2025 to raise money for local children’s hospices
Hope House and Tŷ Gobaith are encouraging people to take on a fresh challenge in 2025 while raising money for children with life-threatening conditions.
The hospices, which require £9.6 million annually to continue their care, have launched a wide range of activities and events to inspire the community.
Options include adrenaline-fueled skydives, scenic walks along the Llangollen Canal, cycling through the Welsh hills, and even glamorous balls for those who prefer a more relaxed approach to fundraising.
Alison Marsh, Head of Fundraising, said: “We have been blown away by the support we received from our supporters throughout 2024. From our amazing events such as Eat Cake Week, our Cycle Challenge, the Llangollen Canal Walk, and our four incredible Dark Runs to our raffles and Quality Moments Matter campaign, which raised over £490,000 in just 36 hours, the support we have had over the last year has been nothing short of incredible.
“However, come January 1st we start again from zero, and we need our wonderful community to support again to help us raise the money we need to make sure we can be here for those that need us the most.”
New events for 2025 include a Morocco Trek through the Atlas Mountains and a thrilling abseil in Anglesey. Those not ready to commit to an event can still support the cause through monthly donations or by participating in the Hope House Lottery, with prizes of up to £1,000 a week.
“Whatever way people choose to support us, they’ll be making a real difference to local children and families,” added Ms Marsh.
The hospices are vital to the community, ensuring children with life-threatening conditions can live their best possible lives while supporting their families.
