Disrupted opening hours at Flintshire Connects during August

Flintshire Connects has announced temporary closures and reduced opening hours across its centres during August due to reduced staffing.

Posting on social media, Councillor Dave Richardson said: “I am just the messenger, it’s not ideal I know, just to advise you about disruption to Flintshire Connects opening hours during August due to reduced staffing.”

Flintshire Connects brings together Flintshire County Council, North Wales Police, Job Centre Plus, and other partner organisations to offer customer services to the public and vulnerable individuals who may struggle to access services online or by phone.

The affected centres include Buckley, Connah’s Quay, Flint, Holywell, and Mold. Each location has a schedule of specific closure dates in July and August.

Buckley Connects will be closed on Wednesdays 23 July and 6, 13, 20, and 27 August.

Connah’s Quay Connects will close on Wednesday 30 July; Thursday 7, 14, and 28 August; Monday 11 August; and Tuesday 19 August.

Flint Connects will be closed on Tuesday 29 July; Tuesdays 5, 12, and 26 August; Friday 15 August; and Thursday 21 August.

Holywell Connects will close on Thursday 31 July; Monday 4 August; Wednesdays 6, 13, and 27 August; Thursday 14 August; and Monday 18 August.

Mold Connects will be closed every Friday from 25 July through 29 August.

Apologies have been issued for any inconvenience caused by these disruptions.

The centres offer services including business rates, council tax, universal credit support, blue badges, streetscene and highways queries, concessionary travel, planning enquiries, social services referrals, and digital support.

Visitors are advised to check their local centre’s opening times before attending.
