Deeside PPA Group will be one of six companies from Wales showcasing some of the best that Welsh aerospace industry has to offer at MRO Europe this October – the largest event of its kind outside of north America.

20% of the UK’s maintenance, repair and overhaul (MRO) business takes place in Wales. MRO Europe, which this year takes place at RAI Amsterdam from 18-20 October, is the annual highlight for the commercial air transport MRO industry and is the place to forge new partnerships.

As a direct result of participating in the event in 2015, Welsh businesses in attendance scooped a collective £2.8million of deals. Attended by the likes of Airbus, Boeing, BA and Bombardier, last year the trade conference received over 6400 visitors to the event – the largest in its history.

For the fifth consecutive year, leading names from the Welsh aerospace industry will come together on the Welsh Government stand to promote their expertise and services and highlight that Wales is a great place to do business.

Economy Secretary Ken Skates said:

“ Wales has a real strength in the MRO sector and supporting businesses to exhibit under the Welsh Government banner at events like MRO Europe provides significant benefits. It opens up opportunities for companies to network, meet clients, win new business and increase exports to new and existing markets. It also provides a perfect platform for us to market Wales as a great international business location.”

As well as PPA Group the other Welsh companies exhibiting at MRO Europe are: Wall Colmonoy, Swansea; Spectrum Technologies, Bridgend; eCube Solutions, St Athan Aerospace Business Park; Air Covers, Wrexham; Cottam & Brookes, Caerphilly and Wales Aerospace Forum as co-organisers.
