Countdown begins to one of the largest festivals Deeside has seen.

With just two weeks to go organisers are gearing up for one of the largest festivals Deeside has seen in years.

The North East Wales Diversity Festival being held in Connah’s Quay will see over 40 bands and performers play the 2 day event.

The event will kick off with a parade on Saturday April 30 leaving Wepre Park at 10am, it will feature large dragons, boats, belly dancers and performers from the Alternative Fashion Fest. 

Over 70 stalls have now been confirmed including international food stalls, local breweries and a surf board style cocktail bar, festival clothing and ethnic gift stalls as well as children’s activities and workshops. 

Stonewall, ITV Wales Pride, Victim Support, Time To Change, OWL Neighbourhood Watch, Carers Wales, Pride Cymru, North Wales Police Cyber Crime Team and Wales Air Ambulance will all be in attendance with stalls spread over the festival sites.
