Connah’s Quay murder: Police release CCTV images as investigation continues

Police investigating the murder of 19-year-old Matthew Cassidy in Connah’s Quay have issued pictures of four potential witnesses they would like to speak to.

Police were called to an address at Bethel Place shortly before 8pm on Monday, May 29 following reports of a serious incident.

Despite the efforts of paramedics and police officers, the teenager was pronounced dead at the scene.

 

This individual was seen prior to the offence cycling towards the location of the incident.

 

This male was walking along Pen Y Llan, which is close to the location of the incident, soon after the offence

 

These individuals were seen very close to the location of the incident at the time of the offence


Detective Superintendent Iestyn Davies said;

I am appealing for the people in these pictures to come forward as they may have vital information which could assist our investigation.

I am also appealing to the public to let us know if they recognise these individuals and to please contact us so we can trace them.

Meanwhile David John Woods, 19 from Liverpool has been charged with Matthew’s murder and two other men arrested on suspicion of murder have been released pending further investigation.
