Dozens of tins have been dropped off at 70 High Street and will be passed on to Flintshire Food Bank.

Carl said:

“We have been running the food bank collection point for just one week and I’m amazed at the number of donations we have received so far.

“Everyone is struggling with tighter budgets, so it’s really nice to see Deeside residents thinking of people who are less fortunate despite this.

“Once we have built up a substantial collection of supplies, we will pass them on to the food bank to be distributed to those who need them.

“We have received lots of tins of food, which is great, but I’d also like to remind people that food banks are often low on supplies of household items as well.”

Flintshire Food Bank is currently running low on long life milk, soap and toothpaste.  It also collects washing powder, pet food, nappies and sanitary products.

Donations can be dropped off at Carl’s office at 70 High Street, Connah’s Quay, On Wednesdays, Thursdays and Fridays, between 10.30am and 12.30pm.
