Cupcake Day in Connah’s Quay raised £181 for Alzheimer’s Society today

The cupcake sale was held at Wepre House, Connah’s Quay which is next door to the library.

Sophie Bezant who sent along the photos said;

It was an amazing turn out! And a massive thank you to everyone who helped out, baked cakes, bought cakes, made buntings etc! We smashed our target and raised £181…. and counting!!

People up and down the country in their thousands have been baking, buying and eating to turn up the heat on dementia.

Dementia is the number one cause of death in England and Wales.

It doesn’t discriminate and currently, there’s no cure.

Last year, dedicated Cupcakers around the country united to raise a mighty £330,000 against dementia.

That’s more than enough to fund 11 PhD researchers for a year, giving them the opportunity to undertake vital, potentially lifesaving work.
