University of Chester has been shortlisted in six categories at the 2026 Whatuni Student Choice Awards.

The awards are based entirely on student feedback, with more than 42,000 verified reviews collected from over 85 university campuses across the UK.

The university has been recognised in the categories of University of the Year, Lecturers and Teaching Quality, International, Postgraduate, Student Support, and Halls and Student Accommodation.

The Whatuni Student Choice Awards, now in their 13th year, aim to reflect the real student experience, covering areas such as teaching, career prospects, student life and support services.

The University of Chester has also previously been voted the North West’s University of the Year in 2025 and 2024.

Winners will be announced at a ceremony on 21 May 2026.

Professor Eunice Simmons, Vice-Chancellor of the University of Chester, said: “We are absolutely delighted to be shortlisted in six categories at the Whatuni Student Choice Awards.

“These nominations are especially meaningful because they are based entirely on the honest views and experiences of our students. Their feedback shapes everything we do and being recognised in areas ranging from teaching quality to student support and accommodation is a testament to the dedication of our staff and the strength of our community. We are incredibly proud of our students, grateful for their contributions, and honoured to feature among the top institutions in the UK.”
