This half-term, Storyhouse has put together a jam-packed programme of fun and creativity for children and their families, taking place from Saturday 18 February to Sunday 26 February.

With its commitment to keeping prices low, families can enjoy a wide range of activities, including theatre shows, dance workshops, catwalks, cinema, henna tattooing, arts and crafts and more.

The week starts off with a heartwarming performance by Goofus Theatre, presenting their new family show, Moonsmile, on Saturday 18 and Sunday 19 February.

This nonverbal performance combines music, movement, puppetry, play, and mask, immersing young audiences in storytelling and sparking their imaginations.

On 19 February, families are also invited to Meet Your Muslim Neighbour, a day of arts and crafts, henna tattooing, and Arabic calligraphy, aimed at promoting social cohesion and educating about Islam.

From Tuesday 21 to Thursday 23 February, the Young Storyhouse team will lead the Storyhouse Secret Spies Training Academy, where children aged 6-11 can learn new skills, earn their Secret Spy badge, and make new friends.

On Friday 24 February, children aged six and up and their families can learn to pose and vogue like supermodels in the Feeling Fabulous Dance Workshop with Ghetto Fabulous dance company, followed by the Family Catwalk Extravaganza, where four professional dancers will compete in a dance, fashion, and lip sync competition, with the winner decided by the audience.

Meanwhile, families can catch Puss in Boots: The Last Wish (PG) in the cinema every day from Friday 17 to Thursday 23 February.

And the Storyhouse library team will host free arts and crafts and games all week, including making and playing board games and a day of LEGO.

According to Suzie Henderson, Creative Director at Storyhouse, “We’ve got a week of creative activities for families including lots of free events. Whether it’s a performance, a film, a workshop, a bite to eat, arts and crafts or a slot on our Spy School – we’ve got you covered.”

Don’t miss out on this exciting half-term adventure at Storyhouse!
