Chester: Firefighters tackle suspected deliberate fires in Grosvenor Park

Firefighters were called to Grosvenor Park in Chester on the evening of 23 July following reports of suspected deliberate fires.

Crews from Chester attended and found several small fires, including one involving a bin, others affecting park benches, and a fire close to the open-air theatre.

Firefighters used a hose reel jet to extinguish the bin fire and carried out thermal imaging checks to ensure all affected areas were safely dampened down.

Police have been notified and are investigating the incidents.
