Burst pipe affecting water supplies in parts of Flintshire
There are reports of very low or no water pressure in parts of Flintshire this morning.
Issues have been reported in areas around the Penyffordd area.
Issues have also been reported in Llay, Hope and south of Chester.
Penyffordd junior school is closed due to the burst water main.
Hafren Dyfrdwy have said, “We’re really sorry to our customers living in CH4 who may be experiencing supply interruptions this morning. We have identified a burst pipe on our network being causing this.
“A team is already en route to the burst location and will begin working on the repair as soon as they arrive. As soon as our team are onsite, we’ll post more updates on here to keep you fully informed.
“We apologise for any inconvenience this may cause. ”
It has not been confirmed as related however there is large flooding from a burst pipe between Llay and Hope.
A traffic report for the area states: “Partially blocked and slow traffic due to a burst water main on B5102 Straight Mile both ways near Crown pub. Affecting traffic between Hope and Gresford.”
