The Buckley Mayor’s Charity Ball has raised £1,535 in aid of three local charities: Nightingale House Hospice, Royal Buckley Town Band, and Youth Shedz.

The event brought together community leaders, local businesses, and residents for an evening of celebration and generosity.

The annual event, held at the Beaufort Park Hotel, featured a special address by guest speaker Lord Barry Jones, whose inspiring speech highlighted the importance of community solidarity and support.

Buckley Town Mayor Emma Preece expressed her heartfelt appreciation to all who contributed to the success of the evening.

“Lord Barry Jones’ speech reminded us of the strength of our community and the importance of coming together to support these incredible causes,” she said.

“We are immensely grateful to everyone who donated prizes and attended to make this evening such a success.”

Special recognition was given to local businesses whose contributions played a vital role in achieving the impressive fundraising total.

Among those thanked were Buckley Foods Ltd, Dave Watkins Electrical, Maidscando, F.G. Whitley & Sons Co Ltd, Karizma Barbers, Theatr Clwyd, Aura, and Deeside Dragons.

Guests were treated to a meal provided by the Beaufort Park Hotel, which received high praise for its exceptional quality and service.

The funds raised will go towards supporting the vital work of Nightingale House Hospice, a local hospice providing palliative care; Royal Buckley Town Band, which fosters community music; and Youth Shedz, an organisation empowering young people through creative projects.
