Update: Traffic Wales has confirmed the exit slip is back open.

Earlier report: The exit slip road on the A55 westbound at junction 33B, the Mold turn-off at the A494 near Ewloe, has been closed following an oil spillage.

Traffic Wales confirmed the closure at 12.00pm, saying an update would follow once clearance had been completed.

The slip road is a key route for drivers leaving the A55 toward Mold via the A494.

Traffic was queuing on the westbound carriageway on the approach.

Drivers are advised to allow extra time or use an alternative route while the spillage is cleared.
