Police appeal after pensioner seriously injured in Buckley after being hit by a car

Police are continuing to appeal for witnesses following a serious collision in Buckley yesterday, Tuesday 22nd December.

Shortly after midday a collision occurred in Parkside, Buckley whereby a pedestrian was in collision with a black Vauxhall Astra.

An 81-year-old man was taken to the Wrexham Maelor by ambulance but has since been transferred to hospital in Stoke with serious injuries. He is said to be in a stable condition.

Officers are particularly keen on speaking to a woman who may have witnessed the collision. She had parked her car, a grey coloured small hatchback, in the car park at the entrance of Parkside and she was wearing a white jacket.

The woman, or anybody who may know of her identity, is asked to contact officers at the Roads Policing Unit on 101, quoting reference number S194866.
