Flint based Coastguard Rescue Team called to medical emergency in Rhyl

[vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text]The Flint-based Coastguard Rescue Team were called out this afternoon to a medical emergency involving a person on board a vessel close to Rhyl Harbour.

Holyhead Coastguard Operations Centre alerted volunteers from Flint Coastguard at 1.16pm on Sunday afternoon to reports of man suffering a cardiac arrest onboard a local fishing vessel which was approaching Rhyl Harbour.

Coastguard Operations Centre requested the assistance of Rescue Helicopter 936, while RNLI lifeguards, officers from North Wales Police and two ambulance crews attended the incident in Rhyl Harbour.

Once on scene, two Flint-based Coastguard Rescue Officers assisted paramedics with CPR on a male.
