Update: Several people have been in touch to say it was a caravan and not a car which was on fire.

Previous report: A car fire in a caravan has broken out in Aston this evening.

Firefighters arrived at the scene of the blaze on Larche Avenue at around 6.15pm.

On arrival, they found a car caravan well alight and are using a hose reel to extinguish the fire.

Thick smoke is billowing from the blaze which is close to the shops on Central Drive in Aston

The cause isn’t known though there are suggestions the fire may have been started deliberately.

More as when..
