Parliament has dissolved today in the run up to the General Election which means MP’s are no longer in their role’s as elected members of parliament, in effect they are jobless.

This also means they are not permitted under strict rules to call themselves MP’s

Many ex MP’s – who are now parliamentary party candidates, have made changes to their twitter accounts and websites to reflect the fact they are no longer in office however.

Former Alyn and Deeside MP Mark Tami is yet to make any of the necessary changes to either his twitter profile or website, which is in breach of Parliamentary rules on dissolution.

Labour candidate Delyn and former MP David Hanson appears to have got to grips with the rules.

It is of course the first day of Parliaments dissolution so clearly an oversight by Mr Tami and his team, but ‘rules is rules’ as they say..
