The annual bonfire and fireworks display at Deeside is scheduled to start from 7.30pm on 5th November at Deeside Leisure Centre.

Nigel Sephton, Firefighter at Deeside Fire Station and one of the organisers, said:

“We look forward to another exciting event, and urge people to please get there in good time, to help prevent delays to the display.

“We request people not to bring their own sparklers, as we do not allow their use on the night for safety reasons.

“There are however glow in the dark necklaces, wrist bands and so on available for purchase.

“There is a funfair, and food and drink available. Please try to bring manageable change such as pound coins and five pound notes.

“There are toilets at the leisure centre, and some parking at Charlie’s until 9pm. Radio Deeside intend to broadcast live from the venue.

“There will be some loud bangs, so be prepared for this if you have young children.

“We hope you all have an enjoyable and above all safe Guy Fawkes Night. Attending an organised display is the safest and most cost effective way of enjoying a quality display.”

Entry fees are £5 per family, £2 per adult (over 16) and £1 per person aged 11 to 16. All entry fees will be collected on the gate.
