Trains are back running normally following earlier disruption.

Train services between Wrexham, Shotton and Bidston have been disrupted this morning due to either faulty barriers at a level crossing or a fallen tree.

Arriva Trains Wales website says there is an issue with barriers however their customer service team on twitter say it is an issue with a fallen tree.

There are however reports of faulty barriers at a level crossing between Chester and Wrexham General and the line is blocked.

So, a slightly confused picture but what we do know is that trains are currently not running between from Shotton to Wrexham and Bidston at the moment.

Trains cancelled so far:

07:31 Bidston to Wrexham Central due 08:32

08:30 Wrexham Central to Bidston due 09:31

09:32 Bidston to Wrexham Central due 10:32

10:30 Wrexham Central to Bidston due 11:30

11:32 Bidston to Wrexham Central due 12:32
Coaches are replacing trains and will call at all stations in both directions.
Arriva Trains Wales website says;
