Deeside based Moneysupermarket group to open office in Manchester

Ewloe based Moneysupermarket Group is to open an interim office in Manchester this April.

The company which owns MoneySuperMarket.com, TravelSupermarket.com and MoneySavingExpert.com will move its growing product engineering team to an office in Spring Gardens Manchester, its expected the first group to move will be the mobile app team.

The company is on the hunt for a permanent base in Manchester which will be additional to its offices in Ewloe and London.

Agents had been briefed to scout a new 80,000ft base in Liverpool or Manchester fuelling speculation the Deeside based comparison site could up sticks and move the whole operation into one of the key cities however, ambitions appear to have been scaled back for now.

Locating the engineering team in Manchester will take advantage of the cities growing status as a key UK tech hub

Tim Jones, chief information officer at Moneysupermarket Group, said:

“We’re delighted to be opening an office in Manchester.

“By establishing this new centre of excellence in the UK’s northern digital powerhouse, we will be well placed to attract the right product engineering and technology talent to drive our plans for growth.”
