This winter, Dee Park invites the community to join a series of relaxing, creative, and nature-inspired events in Shotton.

Organised by Dee Park Rangers, these activities range from gentle guided walks to hands-on craft sessions, all designed to connect participants with the natural world.

Starting on Friday, 1 November and continuing on Friday, 6 December, Mindful Walks will be held from 10:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.

These gentle, guided walks include pause points, meditative moments, and a cup of tea, allowing attendees to enjoy the beauty of Dee Park and find moments of calm.

Participants are encouraged to bring suitable clothing, comfortable footwear, and a mug or flask. Free parking is available at the meeting point: Care and Repair, Rowley’s Drive, Shotton (CH5 1PY).

For those interested in holiday crafts, Christmas Wreath Making takes place on Monday, 2 December, from 10:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Here, participants can learn to make festive wreaths to decorate their homes, guided by experienced instructors.

Dee Park will also host a Macrame Christmas Decorations workshop on Wednesday, 18 December, from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m., perfect for those wishing to create unique holiday ornaments.

No registration is required for the park’s Christmas Event on Saturday, 7 December (11:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.), where families can gather for festive cheer, local crafts, and holiday fun.
