Three pet rabbits stolen during an overnight burglary at a Flintshire farm shop have been safely recovered, thanks to widespread public support following a social media appeal.

Lesters Farm Shop in Drury reported the theft on Sunday, 2 March, after three individuals were caught on CCTV entering the shop’s pet enclosure at 12:20am.

The suspects were seen carrying empty JD Sports and Foot Asylum bags, which they used to remove the rabbits.

The rabbits, which are regularly visited by children at the farm shop, were taken during the break-in.

The farm shop shared CCTV images on social media and appealed to the public for information.

Following the appeal, the farm shop confirmed that all three rabbits had been found safe and well.

Sharing the update on social media, Susan wrote: “With all of your help and information, we have retrieved all three bunnies SAFE AND WELL. Unbelievable. We could not have done it without you—thank you so, so much.”

The circumstances of their recovery have not been detailed, but the farm shop expressed its gratitude for the community’s support in spreading the word and assisting in their return.
