Shotton man jailed for sustained domestic violence offences

A 19-year-old man from Shotton has been jailed for a series of domestic violence offences.
Isus Hristov, of Salisbury Street, was sentenced at Mold Crown Court on Thursday, 11 September.
He had previously pleaded guilty to multiple charges of assault and occasioning actual bodily harm against his female victim.
The sustained offending took place between October 2024 and June 2025, leaving his victim with significant physical injuries.
Hristov was sentenced to two years and eight months in prison and was made subject to a Domestic Abuse Protection Order for 15 years. The order prohibits him from contacting his victim by any means and from being in the vicinity of her home.
District Inspector Rob Stevenson and former North Wales Police Violence Against Women and Girls Tactical Delivery Manager said: “This sentence reflects our continued efforts to combat violence against women and girls and raise public trust to encourage victims to speak out against violence.
“We are working hard to ensure robust action will be taken against anyone who commits offences of violence towards women and girls in North Wales.
“Please be assured that any reports made to us are always treated seriously and with priority.”
