Residents urged to share crime concerns in North Flintshire police survey
Flintshire North Neighbourhood Policing Team has launched a public survey aimed at gathering community input on local crime and safety concerns.
As part of an ongoing initiative called “North Wales Talking,” the survey invites residents across north Flintshire to share their views, enabling police to address specific community needs more effectively.
The survey, open until December 1, provides a platform for residents to highlight issues they feel should be prioritised by local law enforcement.
This marks the latest effort by Flintshire North Police to engage with residents, following a previous survey in which locals voiced concerns about anti-social behaviour, illegal use of off-road bikes, and drug-related activity.
Flintshire North Inspector Wes Williams highlighted the impact of the previous survey on local policing efforts, stating, “As a result of the last survey, we listened to your concerns and the team has been actively focusing on these priorities.”
He noted that recent police operations, guided by the public’s feedback, have led to a 13% reduction in anti-social behaviour and the seizure of 11 off-road bikes.
Additionally, targeted operations have been carried out to curb drug supply in the area.
Inspector Williams encouraged residents to participate in the current survey, explaining that the feedback is essential to refining neighbourhood policing activities.
“I am now keen to provide you with an opportunity to help me to set the district’s key priorities and improve things in our area,” he added.
“I am asking you to support me by taking a few minutes to complete our short survey about what it is like to live in your area and what issues matter most to you and your community.”
