Remembrance Sunday Events: Road Closures Across Flintshire

Road closures will be in place across Flintshire this Sunday (10 November) as communities come together to mark Remembrance Day with parades and ceremonies.

Among the towns affected are Connah’s Quay, Hawarden, and Buckley, where major roads will close to accommodate the commemorations.

The planned closures are as follows:

  • Connah’s Quay: High Street, 10:30am–12:30pm
  • Hawarden: The Highway/Gladstone Way, 9am–12:30pm
  • Buckley: Mold Road, 9am–12:30pm
  • Penyffordd: Chester Road, 2pm–3pm
  • Caergwrle: Hawarden Road, 9am–12:30pm
  • Flint: Church Street, 2:30pm–4:30pm
  • Bagillt: High Street, 12pm–1pm
  • Holywell: Cross Street/Rose Hill, 10:30am–12:30pm
  • Mold: Earl Road/High Street/B5444 Pwll Glass Junction to A541 Junction, 9am–1pm

Motorists are encouraged to plan ahead and use alternative routes where possible to avoid disruptions.

These closures will enable the safe running of parades and ceremonies that honour those who served in the armed forces.

Local councils have thanked residents for their understanding and cooperation during these events.
