Police seize electric bike after pursuit through Flintshire village

An electric bike has been seized after a police pursuit in Penyffordd on Saturday evening, 16 August.

North Wales Police said the rider failed to stop for officers at around 11.30pm, leading to a short chase through the village.

The pursuit was safely concluded on Platt Lane.

The rider was arrested on suspicion of six offences: failing to stop, dangerous driving, driving without a licence, driving without insurance, criminal damage and drug driving.

A spokesperson for the North Wales Police Roads Policing Unit said: “We will continue to take action against anyone riding illegally or dangerously to keep our communities safe and we urge members of the public to continue to report these types of incidents to us.”
